Register on Golf Genius for the Solo League or Best Ball. Play one or both.
2Book your bay
Any hour, any day Monday through Sunday. Your first round is free. Members use their included hours. Walk-ins pay the regular $49 hour.
3Play the course of the week
A new course every Monday. Set GSPro to the league settings before you tee off.
4Post your score
Enter it in the Golf Genius app by Sunday at 11:59 PM, and snap a photo of your final GSPro scorecard.

Every league round is played on the same GSPro settings, so every score is fair. Set these before your first shot.

Gimmes: 8 feetInside 8 feet is good. Outside 8 feet, putt it out.

Both leagues

Handicaps and scoring

Both leagues are scored on net: your strokes minus your handicap. A 25 handicap can beat a scratch golfer, and that's the point.

Your handicap

Your first round is free. It's your handicap round. Play that week's course and post your score in Golf Genius. It sets your league handicap and doesn't count toward standings or prizes. No posted score, no free round.
Played a Neighborhood Swing league before? You keep your last league handicap, and your first round counts like any other week.
Updated every Monday. Once the week closes, your handicap updates from the scores you posted.
Maximum handicap is 36.

The season

Best 6 of 10. Only your 6 best weeks count, so you can miss a few weeks and still win.
Lowest total wins. The season champion has the lowest net total over their best 6 weeks.
Join late. Sign up as late as Week 4 (Dec. 21–27) and you can still win the season.
Best Ball teams: if one partner is new, that week's team score doesn't count while they play their handicap round.
Ties are broken on the scorecard: best net score over the last 9 holes, then the last 6, the last 3, and the last hole. Still tied, the prize is split.

Both leagues play the same course each week. Solo plays all 18 holes, and Best Ball plays the front 9. Weeks run Monday through Sunday, and scores are due Sunday at 11:59 PM.

Keep it honest

Fair play rules

One league round per week.Decide it's your league round before you tee off. Once you start it, that's your score for the week. Scores from other sessions don't count.
Post your score with proof.Take a photo of your final GSPro scorecard before you leave the bay. Prize winners must show it.
Play your own shots.Only registered league players hit during a league round. In Best Ball, both partners play all 9 holes.
League settings only.Changing any course setting disqualifies the round.
Camera verification.Every bay is recorded. Winning rounds are checked against the footage before prizes are paid.
Rulings are final.All rulings by Neighborhood Swing are final.

Questions

Good to know

Do I need to be a member to play?

No. Anyone can sign up for free. Just book a bay to play your round. Members can use their included hours for league play, so a membership pays off fast if you play every week. See memberships.

Can I play in both leagues?

Yes. Sign up for each one. The Solo League is 18 holes and Best Ball is the front 9 of the same course, so you can play both in the same week.

Do Best Ball partners have to play together?

Playing together in the same bay is the most fun, but it's not required. Each of you can play your 9 holes on your own any time that week. Your team score is the better net score on each hole.

What if I miss a week?

No problem. Only your best 6 of the 10 weeks count toward the season, so you can miss a few weeks and still win. You can still win weekly prizes any week you play.

How long does a round take?

About an hour for 18 holes on your own, and less for 9. One booked hour covers your league round.

How do I post my score?

After you sign up, post your score in the Golf Genius app by Sunday at 11:59 PM. Take a photo of your final GSPro scorecard before you leave the bay, too.
